A trip somewhere you have never been before seems to be what we do for Birthday celebrations. Last year, Whistler, traveling up a Mountain to do something I have never done before, and this year, we travel to Saint John to see another Cirque Du Soleil creation. Quidam is a story of a young girls imagination and what it can truly offer her life.
It somewhat reminded me of my own life, when I have been ignored by people and left alone, I truly go into my dreams and imagination to figure out what I Will do next.
Another year without a Birthday Cake. Although I did had a brownie mix sent from Orlando and it was Gluten Free and everything.
However, the company to assist in the celebrations, a colleague from work, proved to offer more then a travel companion. I learnt more about myself in both of these trips then I guess was expected by anyone.
Staying true to yourself, don;t give away who YOU are for ANYONE. Although there have been MANY and will I am sure, be MANY MORE.....I have to stay true to myself.
Someone who has been offered a plethora of Birthday wishes from literally.....all over the world, means I have left some type of mark on them.
And speaking of..........someone certainly left one with me too.
Just this morning, I found myself speaking to my mother on the phone, only to try and make her realize that she cannot possibly point a finger to others until looking at herself first.
You can't expect to be off for 10 WEEKS and have people you don't even make a connection with you call you. She complained of no one at work contacting her the entire time she was off. So, I say to her.........when THEY are away with an illness or crisis, do you selflessly call them? Offer comfort, friendship? You cannot possibly expect ANYONE to do that for you when you don't give it out first.
Always wanting what others have and then feeling sorry for yourself....
STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES because id you don't.....WHO WILL?
My God he was so much smarter then I EVER gave him credit for.
So, with the completion of my 40th year here and the start of the 41st, I try to do to others as I would EVER want them to do to me. I do things for ME first......I try not to change ME for anyone but ME!!
Love large.....
adapt the attitude of gratitude.....and appreciate and love everything I have....
So, although there wasn't a Gluten Free cake fit for a Princess....I got so much more from this Birthday!!
