So this week has FLOWN by, and it has been exciting and confusing and frustrating!! I have to admit that work has NOT been so magical for me. Yes I was THRILLED to be working with Disney again but unfortunate for me......it has NOT shown me ANY magic and has been EXTREMELY stressful since I have begun. Very upsetting to think that a DISNEY property has provided me SUCH discomfort.
Moving forward though....I have an interview with a company I once worked at and perhaps gave me my first start in guest relations. Smart Set has offerings of an ASSISTANT MANAGER'S POSITION and I inquired with the manager. I have explained in the past that I once managed a store and she asked me to bring a resume. The funniest most ironic thing is that it is situated DIRECTLY ACROSS THE HALL from the Disney Store. This means....I can literally see the store from my store.
So I have an interview Monday morning before my shift begins at Disney. The mall opens at 10 and Luisa the SS manager decided it would be best to come in when the store is closed so we can chat, not have anyone around and it would be SECRET from Disney. SINISTER yes.....something that is REALLY NEEDED.....definitely!!
With that said.....I have to admit that going BACKWARDS was NOT where I ever expected...HOWEVER sometimes one has to take a step backward to move forward.
Well then that leaves me on the verge of my vacation. This leaves me thinking....it shall be the VERY FIRST TIME I have visited Walt Disney World since I left. Bittersweet is what I am thinking but EXTREMELY excited!! It will somewhat be a CLOSURE for me.....but also a new beginning.
This week has been about CHANGES.....the challenges of work, the manager who doesn't like me or see eye to eye with me, a change in thoughts, the excitement of a BRAND NEW START....and the focus on a vacation that is WELL NEEDED....and LONG OVERDUE!!
I can't WAIT to see all my friends....I look forward to seeing EVERYONE on my journey and I will have TONS of photos to post.
The journey ahead is VERY exciting for me and I am GRATEFUL for all I have and all I will be given!!
