When you have been off for SO long it hits SO hard...SO fast

By now....you all know that it has been a good 3 months since I was last employed. Today you know that I have 2 JOBS....working at the restaurant firstly and then starting at The Disney Store sometime AFTER the 13th of April.
Last night was my VERY FIRST shift at Canyon Creek. This is a BRAND NEW location at the airport and is the corporate location if you will. There are TONS of BIG WIGS around....making sure THIS location is up and running smoothly VERY QUICKLY!!
I was told from the beginning...."Tracey, you came to us from Walt Disney World...we EXPECT great things from you"......now THAT my friends is alot of pressure on my shoulders. I am NOT the VERY BEST server...I admit that....but I am DAMN GOOD with the guests and show them the VERY BEST of TRACEY each and mostly everytime. I cannot lie...you NEVER can have 100% of Tracey, but I sure do try.
We did orientation last night.....new hire paperwork.....taxes...yadda yadda yadda...."costume" which in laymens terms is a uniform but I STILL work for Disney folks and set in my DISNEY WAYS. Then it is sit in a meeting for 2 hours learning the CANYON CREEK standards.....well let me tell you....WALT DISNEY STANDARDS ARE SO MUCH HIGHER!! Of course they would be....it's Disney. They DID make mention that I may continue with my Disney standards of service......your DAMN RIGHT I am.....use it I say. Did I mention they wanted to do a SOFT opening starting TODAY?? That means to me.....we have TONS of training to do......to THEM.....let's throw em on the floor and see what they got?? Expect Disney....she can do EXPO and then we shall unleash her Tuesday!! JEEBUS I gots to tell you....WHY ME??
Bottom line....I KNOW I CAN DO IT.....I HAVE to ability and I am GOOD at it....however...they want SO many things.....alter your shirts.....get the proper foot wear.....BLACK CLICK PENS and NOTHING ELSE.....do NOT wear your costume to work...starch it....GOOD LAWRDY!! They KNOW I have a full time job and have told me that they will work around MY schedule....HELLO....can you say JOB MADE IN HEAVEN?? Whenever I want to make alittle money......tell them...they will throw me in!! I LOVE THIS PLACE. Not to mention, it is SO MUCH like Le Cellier...the look..the menu items.....EVERYTHING I am LOVING IT!!
However, there are KEY ingredients that are LACKING of course.....ORLANDO being one MAJOR component.....my MAN which is a SEPERATE thing all together....my friends.....the guests that join me here in this blog that I LOVE and was VERY BLESSED to meet and take care of......

Back to me....I took tonight off to STUDY my menu folks....then tomorrow morning off to get SHOPPING!! With the LACK O FUNDS that I have I had to be VERY cautious of WHAT jobs I took...what I NEEDED to work there....supply wise and how I would get there. So I have little money left to be playing with the the payoff is HUGE!!
I have to get shoes and pens...that is IT!! So I am going tomorrow...getting CHEAP for now and then GO BIG later.......

Had the visits weekend.....TRULY was AMAZING....LOVED LOVED LOVED every minute of them. I hated that Jen has to return to Florida WITHOUT ME but I WILL BE BACK SOON ENOUGH.....MARK MY WORDS FOLKS!!!

So, now your all caught up. I work Saturday night....5- wheneva.....I am OFF Sunday which WILL be spent studying MORE and then I suspect I will be IN Monday....
Will try my VERY BEST to keep posting so y'all can read what is going on in the WONDERFUL WORLD OF TRACEY....yes I BORROWED that from a friend of ours....IF and ONLY IF your old enough to KNOW what it meant!!
