OK...so I have NOT been to a spa since I left my BLESSED Casino Rama BALANCE IN LIFE SPA!! I ADORE that spa...NO MATTER what.......the backstabbing, the talking about people behind their backs......our girls are VERY GOOD at what they do.........and the place is VERY relaxing.........but I couldn't WAIT to get a treatment done cause only God knows where I am going to be when I finish this program with Disney!! SO.......back to reality here.....I NEED a massage....I am worried yes....I am in the States and I am SO not sure about their training but I KNOW I work for Disney and they are SO not going to give me someone who SAYS they are a massage therapist and are not......so Jen, Steph Mountain & I decided it was TIME!! Book at Animal Kingdom Lodge everyone said....it is GREAT and you get 40% off your massage.........DONE!! But....I also wanted a facial....if you KNOW me.....I am a FACIAL JUNKY!! I LOVE EM.....I know they don't always love ME.. example me bring rushed to the hospital in Orillia because I had a WEE reaction to the NATURAL PRODUCTS they used on my facial for my BIRTHDAY a few years ago.....yes folks....you CAN be allergic to NATURAL products....just ask me!!
So, one facial & one massage coming up!! First things first.....BREAKFAST!! We decided to go to BOMA....my FAVOURITE BREAKFAST spot now........LOVE IT!! It has a WONDERFUL buffet and I admit I enjoy the breakfast buffet MUCH BETTER then I do the dinner one. DON'T TELL MEGAN!!!
So after a DELICIOUS breakfast.....we headed out to locate the spa!! It is somewhat difficult to find but knowing me...I can smell a spa ANYWHERE!!
Off to get some STEAM IN before hand....those girl's are CRAZY!! I mean seriously.....MOUNTAIN gets stuck in the sauna....seriously!! Then for people who have BEEN to spa's before....the noise level was HYSTERICAL!! I truly HOPE no one was getting treatments because we were LOUD!! Little school girl's I swear!!
So I head into my treatment room to start my relaxation journey.......massage first.....let me say one thing.....SHIRLEY & MEGAN & BRE do a far BETTER job at massage then this girl did BUT I did relax and even fell ASLEEP.......then let me also say I was SO congested from this damn head cold that I started to DRIP as I was flipping over to my back....OOPS!!! So SORRY!! I have to admit I KNOW they have had WAY WORSE things happen in there.......
then the almighty facial!! GOD HOW I LOVE THEM!! I mean some ladies are OBSESSED with pedicures and manicures.....me...THE FACIAL!! I warned the woman that I have HYPER sensitive skin....worried her alittle I know but I gots to warn these people......she used a soothing SANDALWOOD product on my face.....smelt nice. There was NO exfoliating.....no steam......I was concerned HOWEVER the same person that did my massage did my facial which concerned me but WHATEVER.....RELAX TRACEY!!
So, the girl's are finished...they are only having massages but I HAD to have a facial.....treat myself for my birthday!! The girl's are horsing around in the change room....WHICH by the way is right beside my TREATMENT room.....I can hear Jen laughing.....Mountain joking around.......I AM TRYING TO RELAX HERE GIRL'S!!!
Fast forward......we are done with our treatments....I have paid and now we are heading out to relax in a pool!! WAIT a SECOND....your at Disney......there is NO relaxing at a pool........let's go and see the GIRAFFES........wow they are right beside the viewing area munching .......SO cute!! There are babies and everything.....twas a GREAT DAY!! The sun was NOT beating down on us so it made things more comfortable.......we did manage to sit in a Jacuzzi for a while.....then it was time for me to head back to change and get ready for work........DAMN...the fun was over!!
OH WELL!!! It was SO good to see Rob again......Rob was a manager from the UK who always had shifts with us in Canada and he is GREAT!! GOOD GUY and I TRULY miss him ALOT!! He looks FABULOUS!! Megan was not working which sucked but she was on HOLIDAY.....MUCH NEEDED!!! Will be able to see her ANYTIME!!
So the day went well.......hope you enjoy my LONG and DRAWN OUT story about my spa morning......you MUST go and have a massage........it is SO nice!!
