One more Magical Moment and THIS is why I work here......

Magical Moments happen here at Walt Disney everyday.....however when you experience the VERY SPECIAL ones.......you stop and THANK GOD that you are here!! I did that very thing this week!!
Just another normal day at Le Cellier of course.....Zach, Emily, Allison and I are all on the door seating people and it was VERY busy at work that night!! I went out to the front to play with some kids as I normally love doing!! I found this ADORABLE little girl....had to be about 5 yrs. old and CUTEST LIL THING YOU HAVE EVER LOOKED AT!! Kelcie was her name and she was a PISTOL!! Kelcie was telling me how much she LOVED HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.....so that was the start of the magic!! We decided to start doing our PEP RALLY moves. Zach came out and of course.....WHO IS THE BIGGEST HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL FAN that walked here at Disney!! We managed to get a HUGE group of girls learning how to dance......about 4 girls and then Emily and Zach & I were kicking it waiting patiently for their names to be called to eat. The parents started to take photos.....we were all laughing and having a BLAST!! Kelcie stood out to us and took my heart at that very moment!! Zach fell in love with her as well and we decided to give her a PIXIE DUST pin!! She SQUEALED!! Holy cow she was EXCITED!! Then it was time for the families to go in and eat so we went back to work!!
As I was seating people throughout their meal, Kelcie would smile and wave at me!! Zach would run over and say hi and Kelcie would stop EVERYTHING and hug him!! Kelcie;s parents were SO appreciative! They said it was people like US that make Walt Disney work!!
Zach and I decided at this moment we wanted to do MORE for this family so we went into the Manager's office to see what else we could do for this ADORABLE family!! Laura and Dave told us that we could make their night and get Kelcie to start Illuminations - Reflections of Earth. The twist on this night was that we were able to escort them over to the UK and stay and help with the magic with our friends at the UK pavilion!! I was SO happy to know that this was NOT ONLY going to be a great evening for Kelcie and her parents but once again for Zach & I!!
When dinner was over we took them over to the UK......Dave met us at the podium and told us that Mickey was STUCK on the Monorail and was unable to start Illuminations tonight and that Kelcie would just have to do it for us. Kelcie was giggling and jumping up & down. Kelcie's parents at this point are BLOWN AWAY!! The service and attention that they were getting was UNIMAGINABLE!!
How does one measure MAGIC?? How does one explain the excitement that one was feeling on a night like this??
As time was drawing near to start the fun.....Lyndsey from the UK was AMAZING!! She totally took to Kelcie like Zach & I had and we were in AWE of how this little girl was taking it all in!! The magical wand was brought out and the instructions had started!! Zach & I chatted with her parents and told her this was EXTRA special because at NO TIME would we be able to hang out over here in THIS pavilion and especially watch the show.
As Kelcie was counted down and started to wave the magic wand to start the show....you could see the JOY and pure EXCITEMENT in her eyes. Mom was starting to cry at the moment and I was overwhelmed. This hit me........Kelcie will FOREVER remember this evening.....remember her friends from Canada and what we shared that night. She will NEVER remember our names or perhaps where we were from...however the magic will live FOREVER in that little girls heart.

As Zach & I walked back to our own Pavilion we hugged one another and admitted that we ADORE were we are and what we do everyday!!

A note.....Kelcie came to the Pavilion the following day because she couldn't sleep she was SO happy that she met new friends and that SHE started Illuminations the night before. I hugged her and told her that Zach hadn't started his shift yet but I would pass along her messages of love and thankfulness!!
Apparently yesterday, as I was off.....Kelcie once again returned with GIFTS!! She brought HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL key chains for both Zach & I!

I AM TRULY BLESSED!! What else can I say......I cry just thinking about the power of a dream and what can be accomplished by a Cast Member for a child once they set their mind to it!!

Hi, nice blog. Do you watch Cartoon Network? I thought of it becasue you wrote about Disney. I think it is the best for kids. I hope to glam it on the tube here in Utrecht because it is so funny. In Amsterdam most people can watch the Cartoon Network.

I'm glad you went. And that you're having the time of your life. Casino Rama Hotel...just doesn't do that for anyone!
I miss my co-workers...meaning the valets...but don't miss anything else...I'm making my magic with my nephews and the man I'm in love with...and right now it can't get any better. I miss you...glad to hear your #1 over there too! Ciao Bella!
